BOPP sack
Capro Industries supplies BOPP sacks — biaxially oriented polypropylene laminated woven bags — designed for products where brand presentation and print quality matter as much as packaging performance. A BOPP outer layer bonded to a woven polypropylene base delivers photographic-quality full-color printing, superior moisture resistance, and puncture and tear resistance in a single sack. In stock for same-day shipping from Los Angeles, Dallas, and New Hampshire.

What is a BOPP sack?
BOPP stands for Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene — a film produced by stretching polypropylene in two directions, which dramatically improves its clarity, stiffness, and barrier properties. In a BOPP sack, this film is laminated to the outside of a woven polypropylene base fabric, creating a composite structure that combines the structural strength of woven PP with the print quality and moisture resistance of the BOPP film layer.
The result is a bag that looks as good on a retail shelf as it performs in a warehouse or distribution chain — giving brands in food, agriculture, and consumer goods a packaging solution that serves both functional and marketing objectives.
Why brands choose BOPP over standard woven sacks
Standard woven PP sacks offer excellent functional performance but limited print quality — the woven texture shows through any printing, restricting color vibrancy and image resolution. BOPP lamination solves this by providing a smooth, stable print surface over the woven base.
Print quality — full photographic reproduction, up to 8 colors, with sharp edges and true color matching
Moisture resistance — the BOPP laminate creates a moisture barrier that protects both product and print quality through distribution and retail display
Surface finish options — gloss finish for high-impact shelf appeal; matte finish for premium or specialty brand positioning
Brand consistency — color-accurate reproduction across high-volume print runs for national and regional distribution programs
Competitive shelf presence — particularly important in categories where purchase decisions are made at point of sale: rice, flour, pet food, grass seed, pool chemicals
Applications
Rice, flour & grain
Rice and flour are the largest BOPP sack application globally. High-volume retail bags (5 lb to 50 lb) for grocery and club store distribution require the print quality and moisture resistance that BOPP delivers. Brands competing in these categories use BOPP as a core competitive tool.
Coffee, tea & specialty food
Premium food brands in coffee, tea, dried fruit, nuts, and specialty food use BOPP for its ability to reproduce photography, product imagery, and detailed label information with the quality consumers expect from a premium product.
Pet food & animal feed
Pet food packaging is one of the most design-intensive categories in consumer goods. BOPP sacks handle the combination of high-resolution photography, rich color, and functional requirements for the bags used in mass retail and specialty pet channels.
Grass seed & fertilizer
Lawn and garden products compete heavily on packaging at retail. BOPP sacks allow brands to use lifestyle photography, detailed product information, and strong brand color systems to drive purchase at home improvement and garden centers.
Pool chemicals & industrial consumer
Pool chemicals, water treatment products, and other retail industrial goods use BOPP sacks for brand differentiation and product information clarity in competitive retail environments.
