UN RATED FIBC / BULK BAGS
Capro Industries supplies UN-certified FIBC bulk bags for the transport and storage of hazardous materials. Our hazmat FIBCs are certified for Packing Groups I, II, and III and are available in all four design types — 13H1, 13H2, 13H3, and 13H4 — making us one of the few US distributors with full coverage across every packing group classification. In stock for same-day shipping from Los Angeles, Dallas, and New Hampshire.
Description
UN-certified FIBCs are designed for the storage and transport of hazardous materials in accordance with the framework established by the United Nations for the transport of dangerous goods. Each bag design passes a rigorous series of performance tests — drop, topple, righting, tear, and stacking — conducted by an accredited testing body.
Features
Each of the four standard design types — 13H1, 13H2, 13H3, and 13H4 — carries a unique UN coding system printed directly on the bag, identifying packing group rating, maximum gross mass, and year of manufacture for proper usage, compliance, and handling.
PACKING GROUPS
Certified for Packing Groups I, II, and III — covering the full range of hazardous material classifications from minor danger through great danger.

What is a UN-rated FIBC?
UN-rated FIBCs are bulk bags that have been tested and certified to meet the transport requirements established by the United Nations for dangerous goods. To carry the UN mark, each bag design must pass a rigorous series of performance tests — drop, topple, righting, tear, and stacking — conducted by an accredited testing body. The UN mark printed on every bag identifies the design type, packing group rating, maximum gross mass, and the year and country of manufacture, giving regulators, carriers, and facility managers a clear chain of compliance documentation at every stage of transport.
UN FIBC design types we stock
13H1 — Woven polypropylene, no liner
Standard woven PP construction without an inner liner. Used for dry, free-flowing hazardous solids that do not require moisture protection. Suitable for Packing Groups II and III.
13H2 — Woven polypropylene with liner
Woven PP fabric with an inner PE liner for moisture-sensitive hazardous materials. The liner provides an additional barrier against contamination and moisture ingress. Suitable for Packing Groups II and III.
13H3 — Woven polypropylene, coated, no liner
Coated woven PP fabric without an inner liner. The coating provides a degree of moisture resistance in the fabric itself. Suitable for Packing Groups II and III.
13H4 — Woven polypropylene, coated, with liner
The most protective configuration — coated woven PP fabric with an inner PE liner. Offers maximum moisture and contamination resistance for sensitive or high-hazard materials. Suitable for Packing Groups I, II, and III.
Packing group coverage
UN packing groups classify hazardous materials by degree of danger. Capro stocks UN-rated FIBCs for all three classifications:
Packing Group I — great danger. High-hazard materials requiring the most stringent packaging controls. Available in 13H4 configuration.
Packing Group II — medium danger. The most common packing group classification for industrial chemicals, dry hazardous solids, and regulated powders. Available in all four design types.
Packing Group III — minor danger. Lower-hazard regulated materials. Available in all four design types.
